Help Monarch Watch create and restore crucial habitat.
Help us continue our mission to restore habitats for monarchs and native pollinators. Milkweed is the only plant that monarch caterpillars can eat, so monarchs need milkweed. Our Free Milkweeds for Restoration Projects and Free Milkweeds for Schools and Nonprofits programs need your support.
Declining monarch numbers, due to massive habitat losses associated with changes in agriculture and development, have led us to focus on monarch conservation. To address these losses, Monarch Watch has distributed over 1 million native milkweed plants across the U.S. since 2010. This effort has been funded through grants and contributions. Your help is needed to extend and expand these programs. Our programs for milkweed distribution and outreach are nationwide and are unmatched by other organizations.
Your support on One Day. One KU. will help us restore habitat for monarchs and other native pollinators. Specifically, your donation will be used to:
Your support of our Free Milkweeds programs will have a lasting impact on monarchs and pollinator populations. The milkweeds we distribute are native perennials that will multiply and continue to provide resources to countless insects for years to come.
Monarch Watch is celebrating 30 years of education, conservation, and research at the University of Kansas in 2022. Thank you for your continued interest and support!
