One Day. One KU. has ended but your support makes a difference every day. You can still make a gift.
Athletics

Kansas Athletics has placed a significant emphasis on an investment in mental health and wellness, and diversity and inclusion for our Jayhawk student-athletes. However, in order to maximize these critical priorities, additional funding is necessary to serve our more than 500 Kansas student-athletes. This year, Kansas Athletics is taking your One Day. One KU. donations and placing them directly into these two crucial areas to provide more resources, staffing, services and programming for Kansas student-athletes to grow and prosper during their Jayhawk Journey:

Student-Athlete Mental Health & Wellness:

Kansas Athletics believes that “Mental and Physical Health are inextricably linked. Evidence suggests an elevated risk of injury among athletes who experience anxiety, depression, abuse alcohol, or have an eating disorder. Furthermore, the athlete’s psychological response to injury has the potential to exacerbate existing vulnerabilities. Mental health is a key component of student-athlete wellness, and Kansas Athletics is committed to providing an environment that supports wellness while also providing resources so that student-athletes can obtain referrals to mental health services”. (Kansas Athletics, Inc, Procedures for Identification and Referral of Student-Athletes for Mental Health Services)

Student-Athlete Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives:

Kansas Athletics is committed to the pursuit of Inclusive Excellence by fostering an environment that focuses on the intellectual and social development of our student-athletes, coaches and staff while intentionally developing and utilizing organizational resources that establish equitable access to inclusive resources and support infrastructures. Further, Kansas Athletics’ pursuit of Inclusive Excellence looks to empower our student-athletes, coaches and staff to utilize their platform for positive change thereby cultivating a welcoming community for all. Inclusive Excellence at Kansas Athletics is achieved through intentional programming and policy formation that fosters societal celebration, development, dialogue, education and training.

*All One Day. One KU. donations are 100 percent tax deductible and do not qualify for membership or priority points.
