One Day. One KU. has ended but your support makes a difference every day. You can still make a gift.
Academic Success

In Academic Success, formerly Undergraduate Studies, we support the intellectual engagement and pursuit of learning by all KU students throughout their undergraduate education, from orientation to graduation and beyond. As students develop their educational goals and career interests, we provide guidance, academic support and ensure an accessible learning environment through advising, tutoring, first year experiences, undergraduate research, service learning and comprehensive career services.

Your support today of Academic Success will have a direct impact on the success and graduation of each and every undergraduate student at the University of Kansas.

Support our NATIVE AMERICAN SUCCESS INITIATIVES FUND

Students are central to everything we do at the University of Kansas. They come to learn and participate in the classroom, to make connections and become leaders and to be a part of a thriving community. The purpose of our success initiatives is to provide support services and a community of care for Native American students coming to KU to return to their communities prepared to build capacity within their tribal nations. Bringing Native students together and supporting their specific cultural needs contributes to their abilities to reach their academic and career goals.

In order to provide Native American students with a meaningful and equitable experience at the University of Kansas, we need to provide holistic support, mentoring, resources, professional development opportunities and cultural and social programming. Our goal is to provide these vital resources and help KU be an exceptional learning community for Native students.

Your gift will uplift our mission to create an atmosphere of Native American self-determination in partnership with communities that value Native perspectives.

Support our STUDENT COMMUNITY PLATFORMS

Academic Success and KU Information Technology are partners in an effort to integrate student-facing technology and superior student online connection.  KU offers a wide array of web application, online services and digital systems to students for resources, learning and connection.  Each system serves a specific purpose, and students have asked that we streamline those online systems and applications into an engaging and holistic student digital experience.  Student Community Platforms provide this integration of student resources and student personalization to make vast improvements in the student digital experience at KU.  We seek a solution that unifies the student-facing systems we have today to not only align to modern-day consumer expectations, but to provide a personalized and engaging, concierge-level digital service to each student, providing next-level customer service to meet their every need in the online environment. We hope to find an out-of-the-box solution that provides a modern web and mobile user interface that easily integrates with the many backend systems already in use by the university (including the existing CRM, SIS, and LMS).

Your gift will go toward the first-year implementation and set-up costs required of this kind of technology innovation.  Supporting the student digital experience touches every Jayhawk from every degree program and every background. This unique opportunity to make a broad, lasting impact across undergraduate and graduate learning is an exciting way to directly impact student success and student access at KU.

Join us in achieving these goals for our Jayhawks!

  • Increased student technology satisfaction across the full student academic journey.
  • Enhanced ability to communicate with students in a timely and personalized way via other methods than email.
  • Improved connections between students and the services or resources that are relevant to their individual stage in their academic experience.
  • Improved ability to connect students to university events and activities in a personal way.
  • Provide a way for students to connect with each other in a digital space.
