For more than 100 years, KU School of Nursing has prepared students for vital roles in health care. Today, our mission is as urgent as it has ever been. Our country is facing a shortage of nurses—a trend that was visible even before the COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to educate more nurses, we need excellent nurse educators. Unfortunately, we do not have adequate numbers of nurse educators in Kansas not only to fill future needs, but also to meet current needs. To recruit and retain nurse educators here in Kansas, we have to contend with the national shortage of nurse educators. We are competing nationally to attract the best and brightest faculty to KU School of Nursing.
Your support on One Day. One KU. will help us continue exploring new ways to recruit and retain the best nursing faculty. KU School of Nursing has built an international reputation for outstanding academic programs and innovative research, and our alumni and faculty are among the most accomplished leaders in the field. With your help, we can continue to support our dedicated faculty and prepare our students for diverse and dynamic careers in health care.
Thank you for your support.
