One Day. One KU. has ended but your support makes a difference every day. You can still make a gift.
International Affairs

KU International Affairs fosters a global community on campus and around the world. Through our work with recruitment, admissions, immigration services, English language programs and academic bridge programs, we support more than 1,700 international graduate and undergraduate students from more than 100 countries. We bring scholars and faculty from across the globe to KU, while providing opportunities for students in every academic discipline to have an international experience, either on campus or abroad, through international study, research and service learning, and globally oriented on-campus programs.

Support of International Affairs' 2022 One Day. One KU. campaign will provide funding to support international students in crisis, create transformative international experiences for a more diverse student population and enable students to take their research abroad.

SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EMERGENCY FUND

The global pandemic continues to create financial challenges for KU international students, who have faced an unanticipated need to remain in the United States, loss of campus employment, lack of job opportunities and decline of family income. Contributions to this fund will assist international students in a time of crisis, enabling us to support them as they continue their studies at KU.

BUILD A MORE DIVERSE STUDY ABROAD POPULATION

Study abroad changes lives, yet many students who desire this experience face academic, financial or other obstacles to participate. KU Study Abroad & Global Engagement (SAGE) aims to increase the number and diversity of students benefiting from an international education, with the goal that study abroad participants’ disciplines and demographics mirror the university’s undergraduate population. In particular, SAGE is seeking to expand access to study abroad for more first-generation college students, high-need/Pell Grant-eligible students and other students traditionally underrepresented in education abroad programs. Your contribution to One Day. One KU. will help us meet this goal.

ENABLE RESEARCH ABROAD

For students, the opportunity to conduct research abroad can spark inquiries that shape careers. A small amount of seed funding can make a significant difference in helping students develop an international research project. By going abroad, students have the opportunity to visit potential research sites, access archives and other resources, establish relationships with institutions and universities abroad, and connect with local scholars. By gaining international research experience, students are in a better position to receive outside funding to support longer-term international research activities. Your support will help unlock these career-changing research opportunities.
