Thanks to your support, the KU Alumni Association’s Jayhawk Career Network (JCN) continues to expand in scope, connecting more students and alumni in creative ways during these challenging times.
JCN began 2021 by celebrating National Mentoring Month in January, collaborating with the University Career Center on the Winter Boot Camp, a three-week online program to help senior students launch their job searches. More than 250 students participated, along with alumni volunteers and career partners who conducted mock interviews with students.
For Jayhawks considering graduate school, JCN teamed up with the Office of Graduate Studies to sponsor virtual events to help students explore their options for pursuing advanced degrees at KU.
Webinars on leadership and remote-work wellness were among the growing number of online programs that continued throughout the year, especially during Kyou Networking Week—a new Homecoming tradition for those who want to reconnect but can’t return to the Hill.
All of these innovations helped usher in a new era of JCN’s cornerstone program, now called KU Mentoring+, which provides avenues for Jayhawks to unite in communities based not only on careers and industries but also on affinity and interests.
Your generous contribution to the Alumni Association will help continue the tradition of Jayhawks helping Jayhawks. We are stronger together!
Thank you, and Rock Chalk!
