One Day. One KU. has ended but your support makes a difference every day. You can still make a gift.
School of Medicine-Kansas City

We are a medical school on a mission, committed to enhancing the quality of life in our community and around the world. Widely recognized for superior academic instruction, innovative scientific discoveries and outstanding clinical programs, we are driven to excel in every aspect of our program.

Gifts to the School of Medicine have a meaningful impact on our students, our faculty, and the patients they serve. Please consider a gift to one of our One Day. One KU. priority areas.

Help rural students attend the School of Medicine – On average, our MD students graduate with $180,000 in educational debt. We must do better for our students, especially for those who come from and will serve in our rural communities throughout Kansas. Our goal is to increase the number and size of rural scholarships to reduce the burden of student debt, attract and retain Kansas' best, and bolster diversity within our classes.

Support the JayDoc Free Clinic – The JayDoc Clinic provides urgent and preventative care to uninsured and underinsured populations of the Kansas City area. Staffed entirely by volunteers and KU Med students, it has served approximately 2,000 patients every year since it opened in 2003. Gifts to the clinic maintain this quality service to the Kansas City community.

Setting the stage for world-changing discoveries – Success in research is measured not as a destination, but as a quest for greater discovery and continual learning. Our dedicated researchers, students, physicians and faculty strive every day to advance the science of saving lives. Gifts to this fund will provide our researchers with additional access to core resources and an environment that encourages discovery and collaboration.
