KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center: Help us THINK BEYOND.
The KU ADRC has made tremendous strides in preparing the region for the rising prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease. As one of only 33 National Institutes on Aging designated centers, we have proven that we are global leaders in research, education and care. Every day, our efforts positively impact the lives of patients and families dealing with Alzheimer’s and dementia across the region. We believe brain health is broader than Alzheimer’s disease and it is time to THINK BEYOND.
THINK BEYOND standalone offerings to fully integrated, comprehensive solutions.
THINK BEYOND treatment of the afflicted to preventing the disease before symptoms arise.
THINK BEYOND focusing solely on the patient but including loved ones in need of education and support.
THINK BEYOND local Kansas City access to a regional network of dementia prevention and support.
To support these efforts, we are embarking on a significant expansion of our work with the creation of the Brain Health Initiative (BHI). The BHI will seamlessly bring together research, education, care and scientific innovation all under one roof while increasing our ability to serve our community, drive towards a cure, and become a leading model for the country on how to fight this disease. Brain health broadly and Alzheimer's disease specifically, is one of the largest unmet medical needs of this generation, and we have an opportunity—right now, right here—to lead the country in addressing the issue and meeting the need. There is new hope and new possibilities. It is time to THINK BEYOND our current realities and take the next steps. Join us as we launch the BHI. Your gift will help us THINK BEYOND.
