The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences brings together students and faculty at KU with the most diverse interests, opportunities, and career pathways. The College is part of every student's journey on the Hill, but the students who find their home within our majors often have a few distinct traits: curiosity, grit, compassion, creativity, and heart are at the top. Our faculty, students and alumni seek to make change and an impact in their communities, their chosen industries, and the world. They seek answers to big questions: climate and social change, inequity and discrimination, cancer and global pandemics, community well-being and healthcare.
The College plays a unique role in looking at these challenges, from perspectives across our disciplines of sciences, arts, humanities, social and behavioral studies, and international studies. It’s where those disciplines meet and share ideas that the most innovative ideas will be found. This collaboration will deliver meaningful results in making our world, our community and our society a better place.
We invite you to support the College through several opportunities that will benefit the work of our faculty and students:
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is vital to the growth and success of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Your support of this fund will provide students with more opportunities to find their futures in the College. You will also be supporting the recruitment and retention of faculty of color to ensure that our faculty reflects the diversity of our world.
- Experiential Learning opportunities enhance a student's education, but come with additional costs that many students cannot afford. Your support of this fund will help increase student access to study abroad, internships, out-of-the-classroom research opportunities, summer research, educational travel expenses and professional development.
- The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is the Heart of KU. As the biggest, most diverse school at KU, your gift to the Heart of KU Fund will support our students and faculty in areas that are of greatest need and the Dean's highest priorities. It is a chance to make a difference to a student in need, purchase new equipment to aid in a groundbreaking discovery, hire new staff to support a department, and much, much more.
