School of Medicine-Kansas City

We are a medical school on a mission, committed to enhancing the quality of life in our community and around the world. Widely recognized for superior academic instruction, innovative scientific discoveries and outstanding clinical programs, we are driven to excel in every aspect of our program.

Gifts to the School of Medicine have a meaningful impact on our students, our faculty, and the patients they serve. Please consider a gift to one of our ONE DAY. ONE KU. priority areas.

Help students attend the School of Medicine – On average, our MD students graduate with $183,000 in educational debt. We must do better for our students. Our goal is to increase the number and size of scholarships to reduce the burden of student debt, attract and retain Kansas' best, and bolster diversity within our classes.

Support the JayDoc Free Clinic – The JayDoc Clinic provides urgent and preventative care to uninsured and underinsured populations of the Kansas City area. Staffed entirely by volunteers and KU Med students, it has served approximately 2,000 patients every year since it opened in 2003. Gifts to the clinic maintain this quality service to the Kansas City community.

Keep our facilities at the cutting-edge – A priority of the utmost importance is updating the anatomy lab in Kansas City. Anatomy remains a core component of our curriculum, but the learning space has changed very little since it was built in the early 1970s. Updates are necessary to modernize our facilities for the next generation of Jayhawks.

Thanks for considering a gift to the School of Medicine.
