The University of Kansas School of Medicine campus in Salina was created to address the critical shortage of physicians in Kansas. This innovative medical education program is aimed at students with a strong desire to practice in rural areas. Please consider a gift to one of our ONE DAY. ONE KU. priority areas:
Help Salina Medical Students learn
Renewable scholarships. As Salina Students can attest, scholarships are crucial for attending KU School of Medicine. Scholarships help offset tuition costs of medical school. Additionally, the benefit of unrestricted funds allows Salina to continue improving our facilities, updating equipment, and investing in student and faculty development opportunities for additional mentoring, education and growth.
Help Salina Medical Students engage in International Medical Mission opportunities
Medical Missions opportunities allow students to go to underdeveloped countries to provide healthcare to those in need. Your donation helps Salina Students defray the cost of travel to help others. In 2019, Salina celebrated the first time a Salina group of medical students traveled to a third-world country to help those in-need through an academic approved event.
Help Salina Medical students engage in and learn more about Interprofessional Events
The Health Education Center, located in downtown Salina, provides academics and extracurricular activities to both Medical and Nursing students, utilizing an inter-professional environment. Our simulation, clinical skills, and procedural labs provide academic events for various inter-professional events to run codes, learn procedures — working on simulated equipment in a safe environment.
