As the state’s flagship university, KU advances society through discovery and innovation. Two of KU’s designated research centers are specially dedicated to serving Kansas by exploring the evolving geological, ecological and natural resources that characterize the Sunflower State. A gift to the Kansas Biological Survey or the Kansas Geological Survey on One Day. One KU. will help these organizations continue to conduct research and outreach that enable understanding, appreciation, management and conservation of our state’s natural treasures.

The Kansas Biological Survey strives to increase understanding of and appreciation for our biological resources through world-class research, education and service that enlightens, engages and empowers people in Kansas and beyond.
Support the Kansas Geological Survey
The Kansas Geological Survey studies and provides information about geologic resources in Kansas. Its scientists monitor earthquakes and groundwater levels, investigate water-quality concerns, map the state’s surface geology and provide educational resources to the public.
