School of Health Professions

KU School of Health Professions takes great pride in our nationally ranked programs, internationally-renowned faculty, outstanding students and accomplished alumni. Collectively, they represent the best in academics, innovative research, clinical practice and service to our community.

With roots in the 1930s, our school now has more than 700 students enrolled in its certificate, undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs. Founded in 1974 as the School of Allied Health, the school was renamed in 2011 to better reflect the nature of our departments.

Today, we continue our dedication to producing highly competent, well-trusted health care professionals in a variety of disciplines — professionals who contribute to the health care workforce in Kansas and beyond. And with our innovative interprofessional education program, students from the School of Health Professions, School of Medicine and School of Nursing are educated as teams in the state-of-the-art Health Education Building, experiencing working to care for patients in a way that has raised the bar to new heights for health care education. If you haven't seen it in person, we invite you to contact us to experience this new model in education.

On this day of giving, we're focused on our school's priorities and each of its departments' needs to maintain our rigorous education and opportunities for students:

Greatest Need Fund – This fund allows the School to cultivate new research opportunities, update facilities, and keep our school at the forefront of health care education.

Diversity and International Experience Fund – This fund allows students to acquire meaningful international education experiences. It allows us to expand student exchanges and international clinical experience opportunities with academic organizations and clinical sites in more than 20 countries.

Departmental Support – To support a particular department within the School of Health Professions, select "Other" from the "Fund Designation" drop down menu and type the department name in the designation box.

Thank you for considering a gift to one of these priority areas, or any other program, department or initiative you feel passionate about at the School of Health Professions. Every gift at any amount counts!
