WE DID IT! Together we made the third annual One Day. One KU. giving day campaign the best one yet. We set new records for dollars raised and number of gifts made in support of KU in one 24-hour period! Thanks to you, Kansas Public Radio exceeded all prior records with 174 gifts, raising $17,738 for the new transmitter and $27,558 for our operations, programs and other valuable initiatives. We are profoundly grateful to you for your steadfast support and generosity. We also extend a special thanks to our match and challenge donors David Parker, Jo Ann Myers and Patrick and Carrie Raney. Your philanthropy served as inspiration, encouragement and enthusiasm for others to add their personal support to this important campaign. Thank you again!
Your gift to Kansas Public Radio on One Day. One KU. will support the replacement of KPR’s largest and most powerful transmitter, located on the University of Kansas campus. This tower has beamed quality programming into the lives of listeners in Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City and the surrounding areas for nearly two decades and is approaching the end of its reliable lifespan. The proposed new transmitter will be energy efficient and save both KPR and the University of Kansas thousands of dollars in replacement parts and utility costs.
Our station’s ability to meet the needs of its listeners is only as strong as its broadcast signal. Your support of KPR’s Transmitter Replacement Project will be an investment in the station’s future. We are certain you will be able to hear the benefits of your investment every time you turn your radio dial to Kansas Public Radio!
