School of Journalism and Mass Communications

Jayhawk journalists have been telling great stories for more than 100 years. Please consider supporting the next generation of journalists with a gift to one of our One Day. One KU. priority areas:

Kansan Editors’ Endowed Partnership (KEEP): Generations of students have gained valuable journalism experience by devoting their time, effort and hard work into producing the University Daily Kansan,
the student voice of the University of Kansas. Your gift supports these student journalists and sustains the rich tradition of the Kansan.

J-School Student Ambassadors: Student ambassadors assist the school’s recruitment coordinator in reaching out to and informing prospective students and their families about the J-School. Student ambassadors give tours and share the many opportunities students have here at the J-School. Currently, these students work on a volunteer basis. This fund would support stipends for the J-School student ambassadors.

General Scholarships: For many students, whether or not they are able to attend KU hinges on scholarships and financial aid. Generous alumni, some of whom themselves were the recipients of scholarships during their time in the J-School, continue to pay that gift forward by donating to the general scholarship fund to assist current and future Jayhawk Journalists.
