The KU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute provides high-quality educational enrichment courses and events for seniors 50 and better. Emphasis is placed on learning for the joy of it with no homework, tests, or stress. Subject matter is diverse covering a variety of topics including history, literature, art, fine arts, humanities, current events, and entertainment, among others.
Prior to COVID-19, Osher hosted courses at 29 sites in 16 cities throughout the Greater Kansas City area. Currently seniors from 36 states are participating in the Osher program online. Osher offerings help seniors stay intellectually challenged and socially connected during these challenging times at home.
Education is a lifelong pursuit that has the power to elevate, delight and forge our connection to one another and to a larger world. We invite you to support the KU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute for the One Day. One KU. 2021 Campaign.
With your support, we can build a solid, dynamic, and sustainable educational program to help seniors 50 and better stay engaged as they pursue knowledge to satisfy their quest for learning.
