Spencer Museum of Art

Art Is At Our Core

Art is an investigation.  Twyla Tharp, dancer

Art is doing. Art deals directly with life.  Ruth Asawa, sculptor

Art is the highest form of hope.  Gerhard Richter, visual artist

Art is at our core.  Spencer Museum of Art

Your gift today will ensure the continued vitality of the Spencer Museum of Art. With your support, the Museum and the arts will remain central to teaching and learning at the University of Kansas and in regional K-12 schools. Because of the generosity of so many, the Museum has honored its educational commitments with tenacity and creativity throughout the past year. Your contribution to today’s campaign will strengthen the Museum’s capacity to provide exhibitions, programs, digital resources, and other meaningful experiences with art and ideas for communities of learners across Kansas and beyond. Together, we can keep art at the core of teaching, learning, and research at KU.

Gifts of $50.00 or more enroll you as a Friend of the Art Museum, sustaining the Spencer for the entire year.
