Professional Excellence Mini Scholarships
When you give to our newly launched Platform for Professional Excellence (ePlatform), you will have a direct impact on a Business Jayhawk’s access to career-enhancing opportunities. The ePlatform guides students’ engagement beyond the classroom by documenting and tracking activities and certifications. Gifts to this initiative provide students with “mini scholarships” to offset the costs to students associated with these valuable and distinguishable certifications and training. Examples include Lean Six Sigma certification, Microsoft Excel certification, exams to become a CFA or CFP, and many others. Your contributions will directly help our Business Jayhawks’ careers take flight.
Summer Research Fund
A gift to the Summer Research Fund supports efforts to retain our talented faculty. Currently, the School of Business provides summer research funding for faculty through professorships and fellowships, but these financial awards are in short supply. The Summer Research Fund provides opportunities for competitive summer research funding. Faculty submit written proposals for research grants, and the best proposals are supported with summer funding.
Team Room Naming Opportunity
Gifts to this priority will help us put the finishing touches on the formerly unfinished spaces in Capitol Federal Hall that have been transformed into classrooms and a shared office for doctoral students. We’ll be selecting one of our collaborative team rooms in these spaces, and if this initiative reaches $50,000, each donor’s name will be displayed in the room.
School of Business Greatest Need
Unrestricted gifts to the KU School of Business provide flexibility for the School to address immediate needs or take advantages of opportunities that arise throughout the academic year. This might include support toward activities that enhance the student experience, programming to engage alumni or industry partners, or funding to enhance the technology in Capitol Federal Hall.
