Class of 1959 H.O.P.E. Award

It is hard to believe that it has been 60 years since the Class of 1959 graduated from KU and the establishment of the Honor for the Outstanding Progressive Educator (H.O.P.E.) Award. The H.O.P.E. Award is given annually through the Board of Class Officers and is the only honor given to a faculty member by the senior class.

The H.O.P.E. Award lives on and prestige of the honor remains high, but the stipend is small. We ask your support to raise additional funds to endow the H.O.P.E. Award, increase the amount of the stipend and ensure the award remains a significant part of KU. Please consider making a gift in celebration of the forward-thinking Class of 1959 and their establishment of a faculty award that has lasted six decades. All Jayhawks should be proud!
